READING PARTNERSHIP FOR PARENTS
Reading Partnerships for Parents
This program is a new virtual program in partnership with the Toronto Reading Partnership (TRP) designed to help caregivers support their children's literacy skills. Led by TRP staff, sessions will be delivered online via Zoom, providing valuable strategies and resources to foster early reading development.

Newcomer Sew & Chat Program
Newcomers will have the opportunity to learn about Sewing while focusing on self care, mental health and learning and sharing with each other.

Pedalheads Bike Camps is offering a completely free summer camp for kids ages 5-8 years old in the Jane and Finch community.
Pedalheads is a learn-to-ride bike camp known for taking kids from training wheels to two wheels.

Sex Trafficking Prevention Workshop
Join us for a powerful and informative session focused on preventing sex trafficking in our communities. This interactive workshop is designed for young women and girls ages 15-29 who want to learn how to recognize, prevent, and respond to the risks of trafficking.

Black Mental Health Week Events
From March 3-9, we recognize Black Mental Health Week (BMHW) and this year’s theme: Joy as Resistance. Throughout the week our Community Wellbeing Team will be hosting a series of events that celebrate identity, community, and joy.
From sensory boards to food giveaways and free self-care goodie bags with STPG, each event has been designed to centre joy as we honour the strength within Black communities and the role of mental well-being in empowerment and restoration.

SHADES OF STRENGTH
Shades of Strength
Our Community Wellbeing Team is launching Shades of Strength, a program dedicated to supporting the wellness of Black children and youth through culturally relevant support. This initiative fosters holistic well-being, reduces stigma, enhances access to resources, and empowers participants to thrive mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Beyond Barriers
Beyond Barriers
This 10-week program, designed for individuals aged 25-55 in the Jane Finch/Black Creek community, is held twice a month and delves into addiction and its effects. It provides foundational knowledge for those looking to learn and grow.

TTC Job Opportunities and Hiring Process Info Session
On September 19th, 2024 Black Creek Fair Economies Project will be hosting an information session with TTC regarding upcoming seasonal jobs and other career opportunities.
The session will be held from 6-8pm at the Jane Finch Mall (1911 Finch Avenue West) in the JFM+ space across from Shoppers Drug Mart.
An online session will be available via Zoom at 6-8pm for those who registered.

The HUB@2115 is a collaborative hub and one-stop shop for community services, providing support to resident in navigating their healthcare journeys. All services through the HUB@2115 is FREE, and you don't require an OHIP card to access support. Drop by for mental health supports, information on community resources and referrals to programs and services.
