For decades, the Jane-Finch community—and especially its youth—have been written off: in media narratives, in funding decisions, and in opportunities.
In response, local youth have created Write Us Off: Bias Training, By Us: a community-led bias training that challenges harmful stereotypes and shifts the conversation. This time, youth are asking people to “write them off” in a new way—by taking the training, supporting the work, and writing it off as a tax-deductible donation.
This training is grounded in lived experience, shaped by the voices of young people who live the impacts of systemic bias every day. Developed and delivered by Jane-Finch youth, Bias Training, By Us offers a powerful learning experience for companies, schools, organizations and individuals looking to move beyond performative inclusion.
Participants gain real, community-rooted insights that help strengthen their equity practices—and every training purchased directly funds programs at the Jane/Finch Centre.
