Settlement and Peer Support for Newcomers Youth (Host and ISAP) (ages 13-24)

The ISAP (Immigrant Settlement Adaptation Program) is a program to support youth newcomers to access various resources within the community, such as: English classes, legal services, social assistance, housing, information and referrals etc. This project links youth with programs and services in the community which will better assist newcomer youth to integrate to Canada.

The HOST program is a “befriending” program. The role of the host is to share knowledge about Canadian customs and traditions and what life is really like in Canadian communities, and at the same time newcomers can share their customs and traditions from their culture.

These programs are for newcomer youth (13 – 24) who have been landed immigrants less than 3 years.
