Youth Programs

The youth programs at JFCFC are committed to increasing the voice of and building the capacity and leadership of youth in our community.

Is our local youth council. Youth meet to learn a variety of youth leadership and team building activities.

Is a partnership project that trains peer mentors to design and deliver health promotion and drug misuse prevention (including glue-sniffing) workshops to younger youth.

The ISAP (Immigrant Settlement Adaptation Program) is a program to support youth newcomers to access various resources within the community, such as: English classes, legal services, social assistance

Our after school clubs provide a range of activities for children aged 8-12. Some of the clubs run out of public housing buildings and others run out of our Centre.

This outdoor camping and canoeing experience takes local young people to a remote wilderness area and teaches them outdoor and self-reliance skills.

Is a socially supportive group that meets weekly to promote healthy choices and injury prevention through building awareness and leadership skills.

Building a stronger Jane/Finch Community
