Women Moving Forward

As part of the 16 Days of Activism to End Gendered Violence, WMF participants took part in an exciting art project, run by Metrac's THRIVE program.  Using fabric, women depicted their experiences with both violence and healing, and their beautiful artwork was displayed downtown in Queen Gallery from November 25th – December 10th, 2011.

Both WMF participants and alumni have also been advocating to maintain services in the City of Toronto, submitting deputations at City Hall and speaking with their local councilors to raise concerns around the threat of daycare closures, reduced recreation services and TTC reductions.  For more information about the WMF program, please contact Elizabeth 416-663-2733 ext. 237 or Amy ext. 308.
